National rum of Cuba’s Golden Age, Matusalem® uses a Solera process to craft velvety smooth rums

Introduced in 1872, Matusalem® was Cuba’s national rum in the Golden Age when celebrities frequented the island. With Castro’s uprising, the family fled Cuba and has made the rum in exile ever since. For 140 years, Matusalem® has used a Solera blending process where young and older rums are blended many times in French oak barrels. At the end, Matusalem® bottles a 3-year-old Platino; a 10-year-old Clásico; Gran Reserva 15-year, 18-year and 23-year rums. (ABV 40% - 80 proof)
