Reserva de la Familia® is the crown jewel of the Cuervo family of tequilas. For over 11 generations, Reserva de la Familia® was a family secret only shared with the closest of friends. In 1995, to celebrate their 200-year anniversary, the family decided to share this special blend with those who truly savor an exceptional tequila. These ultra-premium, small batch, sipping tequilas are made with 100% organic blue agave hand-picked from the family’s estate in Jalisco. The agaves are cooked in traditional masonry ovens for 40-42 hours, then undergo extended fermentation for 55-60 hours. The spirit is double-distilled in small-capacity copper pot stills, with aged tequilas being matured in unique selections of oak barrels. Each tequila is bottled in hand blown glass, hand-labeled, individually numbered, and sealed with wax.
