Each bottle cap is hand-painted by Amate artisans from Xalitla, Guerrero, a Nahuavillage by the Balsas River. Each cap illustrates the production cycle of the agave plant from which tequila is made. This unique style of Amate painting is one of the most celebrated folk-art traditions in Mexico.
