The brand’s blended offerings are high in single malt, which enhances their character. Its single malt whiskeys are known for their rich aroma, flavor complexity, and smoothness, developed from 100% malted barley. The barley is soaked to encourage germination, before kiln drying (unsmoked by peat) and grinding into a grist. Mixing with local, volcanic-filtered water from Saint Columb’s Rill (a tributary of the River Bush) and fermenting for 50+ hours, is followed by triple-distillation in copper pot stills. From there, blending and aging make each Bushmills whiskey unique. Truly the taste of Ireland’s most classic whiskey.
